back to Monday it is...

The meatloaf was delicious. I made it yesterday afternoon. It was the perfect weather for making meatloaf. Cloudy and raining and somewhat cold.
I baked some potatoes and made some squash as well. A delicious dinner. And some leftovers for lunch today...dinner tonight...maybe even lunch tomorrow.

On Saturday Holly and I shopped for clothes for Jordan and Henry. We got lots of good deals at the Once Upon a Child in Plymouth. We even used coupons and saved $5 each. Now the boys won't freeze this winter. They grow like weeds. Henry's a 4T now. How did that happen? He's still so tiny in my eyes. But they tell me the sweatpants I bought him in 4T fit, so 4T it is.

Saturday night Rick had several of us over for a pot roast feast. It was so yummy. He's turning out to be quite a good cook...even with a little help from his friends. Kathy made a wonderful salad, and Karen took charge of the gravy. James helped with the dessert...all in all a fabulous gathering of the friends.

I'm so happy the little guns will be dressed for winter and even happier that there is a "once Upon A Child" chain of stores. I suppose I will need to go back to garage sale-ing for them next summer. They grow out of clothes and especially shoes so fast. I don't like kids wearing used shoes though. But I must add that I love wearing my cousin Janny's shoes when we were kids. Gosh I miss her and am dammed mad that she had to die so young and leave me behind. She was always trying to ditch me when we were kids...the witch. I so still love her.

I love your circle of friends and all of the cool gatherings and things that you do together. Now if only someone else we know had friends that did those kinds of things instead of smoking the weed. Ah a mother can but fantasize.

It's okay that I mis-spell a few things now and again...I hope. Geeze I guess I should edit these comments before I push...go.

Happily we also gathered up all of Jordan's old clothes from their basement so that they can be used for Henry...

I'll give them to his Mama to wash up and keep on hand...some will fit him now, some will be too small, and some will fit him later...

And yes, my friends are awesome, and we do have lots of fun together.
