Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies

Today I am making nestle toll house cookies to take with on my vacation. A special treat for my dad who loves them...

Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks, 1/2 pound) butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated [white] sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 cups (12-ounce package) NESTLE TOLL HOUSE Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
1 cup chopped nuts
COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in large mixer bowl. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition; gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
BAKE in preheated 375-degree [Fahrenheit] oven for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

it sure is a long ride to your dad's place. hope some of these make it. stronger desire that some make it to the middle of the van for consumption on that long ride. jaybo and i will gladly test your recipe.

By the by...
I much prefer milk chocolate chips to those semi-sweet ones ayday. And small bits of nuts...pecan. I also like just a few mint chips...not many. And I can eat like maybe one or two butterscotch chip cookies in a pinch.

By far my favorite cookie is those orange date filled cookies. To die for...well at least to beg for.

And who doesn't love Girl Scout cookies come March?

Favorite store bought are the windmill cookies and pecan sandies. I think the PS's are a shortbread cookie.

Just make sure I have a coffee with my 2 creams.
